From 21-26 October 2016, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) hosted a "Heriages sites famtrip" for top media and outbound travel agencies from Indonesia, organized by GoldenTour Vietnam
In the famtrip, the Indonesian delegates visited historical relic area of Hung King Temple, enjoyed Xoan singing performance - an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
They also had chance to admire the beauty of the Northwestern mountainous province of Lao Cai with spectacular terraced fields; reach Fansipan Peak- the Roof of Indochina by cable car; experience the life of Red Dao ethnic group in community-based tourism villages such as Ta Van, Giang Ta Chai; and visit Sa Pa market.
Arriving in Ha Noi Capital, the delegates joined the city tour visiting well-known scenic spots namely Sword Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge; shopping at the old quarters; and enjoying water puppet show.
Besides, they spent time exploring the poetic and charming beauty of Trang An Landscapes Complex in Ninh Binh; and discovering the night life of Ho Chi Minh City in the South.
The famtrip was organized by GoldenTour (Vietnam), to provide information about new Viet Nam’s tourism products and destinations for Indonesian media and travel agencies and exchange experience to lure more tourists from Indonesia.
At the meeting with the famtrip delegation on 24 October, in Ha Noi, Deputy Director General of VNAT, Mr. Ha Van Sieu highly valued the close relationship between Viet Nam and Indonesia, including tourism sector. In recent years, tourism cooperation between the two countries saw positive progress, however, the number of tourist exchange had yet to meet the potentials of both sides.
With the efforts of the two countries, Deputy Director General Ha Van Sieu hoped that Viet Nam would become a favorite destination of Indonesian citizens.
Addressing at the meeting, Indonesian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Mr. Ibnu Hadi spoke highly of tourism potentials, tourism infrastructures, especially the safety and hospitality of Viet Nam. He proposed that the two countries should foster the expansion of direct flights from Viet Nam to Indonesia, particularly from Ha Noi Capital to Indonesian cities which considerably facilitates tourists travelling.
