On January 5, 2017, in Quang Ninh Province, the Mong Cai and Ha Long cities of Viet Nam in collaboration with the Dongxing and Guilin cities of China organized a launching ceremony of ‘two countries – four destinations’ tour.
Accordingly, the tour will connect Ha Long – Mong Cai (Viet Nam) with Dongxing – Guilin (China). It is expected to bring tourists an opportunity to explore unique culture and cuisine of the destinations in the two countries.
Ha Long City has become a popular destination of Viet Nam with the world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay and Mong Cai is well-known as a border gate to China which attracts visitors by bustling markets.
Furthermore, Quang Ninh Province is adjacent to China through both the land border gate of Mong Cai and the sea border gate of Cai Lan, the number of Chinese visitors accounted for about 40% of the total international visitors to the province each year.

The launching of ‘two countries – four destinations’ tour will help promote the local advantage of border tourism and attract visitors travelling to the provinces of the two countries.
After the ceremony, there were two groups with 60 visitors from Viet Nam and China joining this tour.
