Introduction

231 km from HCMC, Soc Trang is next from Tra Vinh, connects to Bac Lieu, Can Tho, Vinh Long and runs along the Pacific Ocean. Terrain of province includes 72 km of coast, 30,000 hectares of rising alluvium that strongly affected by ocean climate. Mainly developed by agriculture, Soc Trang has 259,799 ha for agriculture, of which 94% is for rice growing and the rest is used for other genders of plants. Being the province that has largest percentage of Khmer and Chinese in the Cuu Long delta. Soc Trang brings up the culture that formed by three main minorities. Overall the province there is 89 Khmer pagodas and 47 Chinese pagodas. Besides, it has been given the name of native land of festival in the southern land of Vietnam.
