Introduction

Tra Vinh is in the basis of Mekong river and surrounded by Tien and Hau rivers. This is a range of delta on the seashore with 65 km of coast. The terrain includes long founded delta and newly rising alluvium that normally 3 – 4m from the sea level. Tra Vinh is in tropical climate but also affected by equatorial zone features that is humid and hot over the year. There are two main seasons is rainy and draught with average pouring level of 1,400 – 1,600 mm. The economy of Tra Vinh is strongly based on rice growing, sea products and farming. Mainly occupied by Khmer cultural features in province is go ahead with Khmer influence. 150 Khmer pagodas beside 50 Viet and Chinese pagodas are together guiding the soul and the mind of population. Khmer minority in Tra Vinh belongs to Theravada Buddhism and it has its owned written letter.
